During his early years, Asuka Isurugi attended Jun Middle School, where he played soccer with his rival Ryouma Akatsuka. After he graduated he decided to attend San Jinsei High School, a hardly known high school at that time, in order to get away from his rival (who wanted to attend further the classes of their old school). Unfortunately for Asuka, they met again at San Jinsei, where they both joined the basketball club.
